This house believes in criminalizing pregnant women who smoke or drink

This term it seems that the sky is not blue for me anymore and the only place I get sweat is the swimming pool. Therefore I have decided to fill my time up by taking classes, the ones that a person always want to but have no time for. So this term I have registered for two courses; first is the debating society the second is the creative writing. The debating society always intrigued me due to the fact that my intuition tells me that the debating wisdom is something a person has to born with, but the society claims that this is a skill a person can learn, so by joining the society I hopefully will get a solid ground for practicing. The last training was a few days ago, I was fashionably late; I believed that it starts at half six while it actually started at six. I have missed all the explanation session and when I arrived it was already the actual debate. Apparently all the have to members participate, therefore I was teamed with a guy and we were asked to start the rehearsal for our bit, which is the proposition. The topic of the debate is “this house believes in criminalizing pregnant women who smoke or drink” … we have come with the following points : first, a pregnant women has to keep her child healthy. Second, state has to keep its nation healthy therefore if she doesnot obey, the state has to obligate her. Third, the healthier the nation, the happier the people. This was the first debate I have ever participated, highly recommended to anybody. ;)
