Julia- Royal visit to the Capital

These days my cousin Julia is showing off in London. Her visit is one of the dreams which was planned for a long time and eventually came true. At the moment we are sitting in a pub over a pint of Hoegarden, which is my favorite beer, on the south bank of the river Thames. The view over the night London is magnificent. She is having great time and she is definitely in love with the city.

Julia belongs to the society of students who learn hard toward a medical degree. She has just completed a third year of her doctoral studies in Moldova. As a reader, you might not be aware how difficult and expensive it is to do a medical degree in Israel; apparently it is much cheaper to study abroad. She says that studying for the degree is not fun at all. I feel a bit sorry for her as I do think that medical degree is probably the most challenging one while the reward is not that great.
Through our conversation over the pint, we were looking for a topic to write in the blog. One of the proposed topics was to compare life in England vs life in Moldova. But …. we have came to conclusion that would be a very sad comparison and therefore we decided to write nothing about it.
It is worth mentioning that Julia, through the six days of her visit, was trying hard to meet a true English person and she had not met even one so far. There were some Greeks, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Lithuanian …. Sort of everybody except English. She is still hunting for one …
