Invigilator

Invigilation ! What a boring profession ! ufffffffff !

So the person who looks after the students during the exams and distracts them from cheating called invigilator. It is couple of hours per exam and it sounds nice, that’s why I have decided doing it. By the way, the job is paid, 10quid ish.

(for the people not familiar the word “ish”, it has a meaning of “more or less” and it is very common used… for example, I went to bed 1 o’clock ish.)

It turned out to be one of the most boring hours I have ever spent ! you just walk around and do nothing … and the poor students are trying to solve the exams ! have a look at the students, this is the way it looks like here in Imperial. Sitting on a chair behind the wooden desk and almost nothing there on the table.



Nobody is cheating here. It is so hard punished that I think I would not do it myself if I was studying here. If somebody is caught, automatically without any discussion the whole year is zeroed and the person needs to retake it. I think it is inhumane punishment but it is very reasonable and and forces people to study.
