Happy Passover !
Happy Passover !
Sorry for being a bit lazy writer, its not that I am slow, it just because I took some time off. I will do my best to close the gap.
So the last week was full of activities. Firstly, very important friends have came to visit me. Secondly, the Easter holidays break and the Passover celebrations.
I was really delighted to know that the famous drawing of Leonardo … “the last supper” is actually showing the Passover meal.

Also, another fact was explained to me. As they say, Judaism is the only religion where inviting people for a holiday meals is considered to be blessed and a part of tradition. That’s why for example Passover is usually celebrated in a huge meal with many people.
It is part of tradition to celebrate, so why not to follow it ?
The best place and probably the most boring one to pick is the proper religious organization. They are definitely having a long (up to 4 hours) and detailed ceremony, which is actually discussion of history. That’s why we have chosen the Habad house in London.
About the actual ceremony I will write next time, this time I want to share with you this photo which was sold for enormous price (264,000$) at the New-York auction …. the photo named “the last supper” by Adi Nes. For my opinion, it is interesting picture and does worth every penny spent :)

Yaroslavchik,
The reason for crowding during the Passover is a result of sheep sacrifice. According to the traditions, this poor animal should be slaughtered after the sunset and be eaten completely till the sunrise. Imagine small family finishing the entire sheep in one meal. That's why they were inviting all they relatives to the meal.
(Think how smart!)
Hope you had great holiday.
Bialik
And why is this tradition doesnot kept nowadays ? Still it brings people together ... which is nice !
