Felichka i Linochka

I have a friend who has promised, when we were young and pretty, that on his 30th birthday he will arrive to mine on his own Mercedes. The dream almost came true; with a bit of help from his wife, he has arrived to me on a plane ! not his own, but who actually cares ?!

It was 30th Felix birthday a number of weeks ago and his wife Lina has managed under full secrecy doing him a surprise, taking both of them to London for his birthday celebrations.

They have arrived quite late, and missed the last tube, which took us travelling on the night busses to my home. (Why all of my visitors have to take me through the night busses ?!)

We have spent four beautiful days by sightseeing, drinking beer and spending money.

Felix has insisted going to two unusual places; first is the biggest stadium in UK with 90,000 seats – the Wembley stadium. The second is the house where Freddie Mercury has lived, which is located in London.


At the stadium we went for a tour and were shown the ORIGINAL FA CUP !
Which was fascinating …


At the house of Freddie Mercury, we were a bit disappointed, because there is nothing to indicate that this was his house.


And the last bit …. We went to a Mamma-Mia musical … it was really great ! The music is fabulous and the singing is great as well ….

Anyhow, it was pity that they went back home … but as Malish was saying .. they have promised to come again one day … :)

I was asked for a favour from a friend of my sister, who lives in Scotland, to meet her brother and mother. They are coming from Moscow, and I had to show a way to the central coach station and put them on the bus to Edinburgh. It is late flight and if anything goes wrong, I will need to find them place to sleep, somewhere in my house.
Now, the airport is two hours from my house, and to the coach station is one hour.

Will you accept doing it ?

Originally I have sad no, but as a personal favour to my sister I have decided to help.

Now, we have agreed that they will land, take tube and come to my tube station and I will meet them there and travel with them to the coach station. if anything goes wrong I will find them place to stay.

As was planned, they have called me from the airport and said that they are taking the tube. I went to the tube and started waiting. It was 21:30 ...

At 22:30 I started to worry, coz the bus is at 23:00.
I went down to the platforms, there I was told that Piccadilly line has severe delays due to person ill on the train. (At that point I remembered my sister saying that mother is ill, I thought ... oh no ... )

At 23:30 ... nobody has appeared ... and they people do not have any mobile .. so I cannot call them and I have this information that there is somebody ill on the train.
And I know that mother doesnot speak english while brother speaks just a little ...

at 00:30 I took the last train home. Came home around 1:30am ... and went to bed ...

today morning I have received a text from my sisters friend saying that she is really sorry .. her relatives have missed the tube station and because they run out of time they have decided finding the bus station by them selves ... and now they are safely in Edinburgh ....

What a lovely way to spend an evening ... waiting 3 hours at the tube ... I should have putted a hat at least ... ;)

catch up

my dear blog, sorry for abandoning you, I am really bad owner. To tell you the truth, there were so many things to happen, since the last time i wrote you, that we have to catch up. The bloody news came in such a terrible rate, and most of them were not particularly brilliant, so I couldnot concentrate myself on writing.

One of the latest things I still want to mention is the visit to Israel, which was a bit of disaster. I was planning for a really nice vacation in Israel at the mid september for two weeks. Apparently, the real vacation was slightly different. First of all, I found myself working for the full 7 days, instead of 3 planned. It has ruined all of my plans to see any of my friends and made all of my schedule extremely packed ... The second one is that me and the girl I was going out with for the last number of years have split up .... I have to admit that it was hard time.

Lets leave the bad things, I better write about good ones; My family and some of my friends have been to Kinneret Lake ! Four days leaving on the beach ! It was awesome ! :)
This year, we have had two camps; one for parents and one for friends.



It has worked quite well, I have managed going between the camps and having a drink on both tables. Which was perfect. Somehow I felt really bad for the first two days and spent them lying but the second two days were so nice. It was fun seeing everybody, while some have brought their kids ! :)

Its funny to think that all of my friends are married and most of them have kids ... have a look at this quite photo:
